About Us
Echelon AEC is a South Carolina based Limited Liability Corporation strategically located in Rock Hill, South Carolina in order to serve our clients in both Carolinas. Our firm was founded in 2003 and although young in terms of company history, we have years of personal experience and have already successfully completed several difficult high profile projects with gleaming success!
Our area of concentration is construction, and we carry unlimited status in both Carolinas. However, we have, as support divisions, both Architectural and engineering capabilities to help serve all of our client’s needs. We do not limit ourselves to any field and have vast experience in the Industrial, Commercial, and Residential fields.

James L. Britton, II, CCM, the company founder and a Principal is a 1992 graduate of Clemson University’s college of Architecture and received degrees in Design and Construction Science and Management. He also completed the CD 90 program at Harvard University which was a concentrated program of Architectural design and theory.
Jim has completed over $274 million dollars in construction projects over the last twelve years in the fields that we now practice; Industrial, Institutional, Commercial, and Residential. He is a licensed general contractor as well as one of only 400 Certified Construction Managers (CCM) in the nation. |

H. Rion Massey is the Director of Field operations and a Principal with our firm. A past student of Clemson University’s Construction Science and Management program, he has over ten years experience as a site superintendent, project manager, as well as the owner of a sub-contractor company and brings to the table a dependable and no non sense approach to timely and cost effective construction. Rion is also a licensed general contractor. |

Roger R. Britton, Jr. is a 1979 graduate of The Citadel where he majored in Business Administration and is Echelon AEC’s Quality Assurance Officer as well as a Principal. Roger has over 20 years of quality management experience and prior to taking the position with Echelon AEC, served as an International Account Representative for Wellman Industries.
This is a position that is very unique to our industry but allows us, and the client, a “check and balance” situation of a third party to insure high quality of all our products. Roger also is in charge of client relations and business marketing. |
